Austin Park Project Update - June 2025

Dear Neighbors & Community Members,
The Skaneateles Town Board has accepted a general contracting bid from Bellows Construction to begin preliminary work at the Austin Arena this week. Working hours for this project will be Monday-Friday 7:00am- 3:30pm. After some preliminary tree work we will be fencing off the work area around the north end of the building. Work will begin on drainage and construction of the Parks Department storage area. All members of the public (adults, children and pets) are directed to avoid the fenced areas. These areas will be CLOSED to the public for the duration of the project. We direct any park users who wish to enter the park from the west side of Jordan Street to use the sidewalk to the appropriate crosswalk at St. Mary’s of the Lake Church or Austin Street. We will manage the construction schedule to minimize disruption to our normally scheduled park events such as Baseball, the Rotary Pancake Breakfast, Play Day Summer Camp, the Farmers Market and the SVFD Fireman’s Field Days Celebrations.
